VTECS and Career Clusters

Career Clusters provide a way for schools to organize instruction and student experiences around sixteen broad categories that encompass virtually all occupations from entry through professional levels. Knowledge and Skill statements which include performance elements and measurement criteria were developed for both Foundation and Pathways for each of the sixteen clusters. VTECS Cluster Frameworks

VTECS DIRECT 5 software provides a computer-based system for accessing, managing, manipulating, and customizing career cluster information.

Many new features have been added to provide a multifaceted system for management of Career Cluster information in addition to the traditional occupational analysis data. Among the many new features and functions is a sophisticated test generation engine.
